Steven Amato
Steven AmatoCEO/Chief Content Officer

As the CEO/Chief Content Officer of Contend, Amato is known as an innovator in the world of marketing and entertainment. Amato, previously, was the President/CCO of Omelet, an award winning agency that he co-founded in 2004, and also formerly served as a Creative Leader at TBWA\Chiat\Day. He has worked with notable clients such as Bud Light, Microsoft, Tribune, Walmart, AT&T, PlayStation, Lexus, Facebook, Samsung and Harley-Davidson. An innovative storyteller and thought leader, Amato has consulted with the White House, is a frequent speaker and moderator at numerous conferences and is a writer and producer of original long and short form content.

Philip Alberstat
Philip AlberstatChief Operating Officer

Former EVP of Omelet Studios, Philip is best known for his role at the William Morris Agency within their independent film team. He worked on such noted films as Thank you for Smoking, Away from Her, Factory Girl, and Bobby and was awarded and nominated for Emmy Awards for his work on The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie and The Song Spinner. He was also shortlisted for an Oscar for the documentary Downstream. Prior to William Morris, he was an entertainment lawyer based in London, England specializing in media finance. He is the author of several books including, The Insiders Guide To Film Finance. At Contend, he is responsible for strategic partnerships and operations.

Dane Aloe
Dane AloeEVP Strategy & Finance

Steeply rooted in financial analysis, strategy, and technology development, Dane brings a depth of knowledge to Contend and its clients in all areas of media innovation, technology, and ROI. In addition to client strategy, Dane also pushes Contend forward with constant business model, production and technology innovation. He began his career at Deloitte as a Consultant for the Technology, Media and Telecom group working with Blackberry, AT&T, Rogers, and Interac. Dane received his undergraduate degree from Western University and his MBA and MS in Media Ventures from Boston University.

Jon Sneider
Jon SneiderCMO, Head of Client Partnerships

As the Chief Marketing Officer, Jon is responsible for marketing Contend and leading new business, and as the head of client services, he stays engaged with every account as the lead client contact on all engagements. Previously, Jon has led advertising, digital, and social media capabilities at Redfin, Windows, LL Bean, and Fidelity Investments. Before going client-side Sneider was a thought leader in the early days of interactive marketing at Mullen and Digitas, leading client accounts at Time-Warner, AT&T, Microsoft, and General Motors. Bringing over 20 years of experience using digital, social, and broadcast to drive ROI, Sneider makes sure we're all accountable to drive value out of everything we create.

Alexis Ross
Alexis RossDirector of Operations and Creative Services

As the Director of Operations and Creative Services at Contend, Alexis leads the charge at the start of new projects with resourcing, and ensures smooth delivery of amazing creative content to our clients. And as Contend's "Minister of Culture," Alexis creates the inspiring Contend vibe throughout the company. Alexis began her career in entertainment development, production, and marketing working for notable clients such as Miramax Films, Walt Disney Company, Imagine Television, HBO, and FX Networks. In 2001, Alexis was awarded an Emmy Award as Associate Producer for Best Classical Music Program. Alexis received her BA degree in Pre-Law / Law & Society from University of California Santa Barbara.

Evan Astrowsky
Evan AstrowskyHead of Production

Evan leads all production teams at Contend. A graduate of the NYU School of Film and Television, Evan began his producing career with director Eli Roth's debut feature, Cabin Fever. In July of 2005 Evan accepted the position of Vice President in charge of Production at Kevin Spacey's Trigger Street Productions where he produced films including Fanboys starring Seth Rogen, and Mini's First Time starring Alec Baldwin. In 2009 Evan returned to the advertising world where he held the title of Executive Producer at production company and creative shop Meat &Potatoes, as well as the video game leaning agency Petrol.

Amy Blackman
Amy BlackmanVP Contend Immersive

Amy joined the Contend and Mosaic agencies as VP of Contend Immersive. Immersive does Inverted Reality removing the lines between human, digital, physical, and analog to create mind-bending multisensory experiences. She most recently served as CEO/CRO of Sila Sveta USA to lead Sila Sveta’s international expansion. Previously, she founded AmyBMGMT and served as CEO from 1996-2013. She managed Grammy award-winning international touring artists/producers, directing their brand strategies and global business affairs. Having a Global Executive MBA from Georgetown University & ESADE, combined with 20 years of experience as an executive and entrepreneur in the Entertainment Industry, Amy is positioned to integrate global business with high-tech multimedia.

Denis Astakhov
Denis AstakhovContend Immersive VP for Creative & Operations

Denis joined the team as VP of Creative & Operations for Contend Immersive to apply his expertise and knowledge in immersive experiential design, creative technology, international management, and operations. Previously, Denis was CEO of Sila Sveta Global, supervising a staff of 250. In less than a year the company saw a 40% revenue growth, participated in over 70 international projects, and extended its freelance network by 5 times. Denis studied Laser Technologies at St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO University) and received his engineer's degree in 2010.
